We are still here......

We have been home for about 2 weeks now.................and things have been non-stop.....from making and going to doc's appointment,endless medication, tracking Syd's weights, tracking in's and out's, incision care (it was trying to get infected), Sydney's trauma, and many nights with one child in the bed with us (Aubrey was having nightmares and Sydney was afraid to be alone). Our solution, many, nights was to have the girls sleep together--to ease their fears and anxieties. Steve and I still do not know what has hit us. We are dealing with all of this in our own ways. Just trying to wrap our minds around what just happened..... Our lives have been upside down for so long on....more so...since October. We are so happy that Syd looks so good and is acting so great. She is running around.....she is not out of breath.....she is not blue....and she knows it. "Momma, my lips are pink...not blue." The most emotionally filled quote from Syd was a few days ago. She was running with her best friend Claire, pushing their babydoll strollers. While running, Sydney looked at me and said, "Momma, I not outta breff anymore."
